
We are always interested in adding dots to the table of contents in Google Docs. Google Docs does not provide a direct way to do this, but it is possible to use the workarounds below.
- The first step is to remove the dots if you manually add them to your table of contents.
- Now, enable the show ruler option in the Google Docs document.
3. As a next step, click on the Ruler and select the “Add right-tab stop” option as highlighted below.” Check out the screenshot below.

4. Now, From your keyboard, press the tab key before the number, and you will notice that it will right-align.
5. Now, manually insert the dots or dashes between the number and text. You can leave one or two empty spaces after the text and before the number for a better look.
