How to use MathType in Google Docs
Well, let’s discuss how we can use the MathType Google Docs add-on.
- Open your Google Docs document.
- Click on the Extensions menu –> select Add-ons –> Choose the Get add-ons option.

3. Search for “MathType” and click on the search result “MathType” Google Docs add-ons.

4. Click on the Install button to install the MathType add-on in Google Docs.

5. Click on the Continue button in the next window.

6. Select the Gmail account and click on the allow button on the next window.
7. Finally, click on the Done button on the next pop up and you are done with the installation of the MathType Google Docs add-on.
Now to use the MathType Google Docs add-on, follow the below steps.
Click on the Extensions menu –> Select MathType –> Click on the Open MathType option.

The first time, it will ask you to sign in with your Gmail account. So Click on the Sign in button and choose your Gmail account. Now you will get signed in successfully. Again click on the Extensions menu –> select MathType –> Click on the Open Math Type option.

Use all the needed options to write equations. You can click on each tab to see all the available symbols. You can use all the formatting options like changing the color, font type, etc using all formatting options as highlighted below.
Once you wrote the equations and formatted those based on your requirement, you can click on the Insert button.

Now, you can see the equations have been inserted into your Google Docs successfully.
