Approach-1: Using the Equation option
Follow the below steps to make an alpha symbol in Google Docs usin the equation option.
- Open your Google Docs document where you wish to insert the alpha symbol.
- Click on the Insert menu –> Select the Equation option.

3. Now, one Equation box will get added to your Google Docs document. Type \alpha followed by a space.

After typing \alpha, the moment you press the space bar, you will see this will convert to an alpha symbol, as shown below, and you have done it successfully.

Approach-2: Using the Special Characters option
You can also use the special characters option to create the alpha symbol in Google Docs by following the below steps.
