Method-1: Put A Box Around Text Using the Drawing Option
- Navigate to https://docs.google.com/ and click on the + (Blank) button to create a blank document or you can open any existing Google document and locate the text where you want to insert a text box around that.
- Now, click on the Insert Menu –> Select Drawing option –> Click on the + New button.

3. On the Drawing window, click on the text box option and then drag it and make a text box shape.

4. You can customize it now. For example, if you want to make the text as center align, click on the three-dot (…) and then select the center align option as highlighted below.

5. you can change the border weight and border color by clicking on the below options.

6. Finally, click on the Save and Close button to save the changes to your Google Docs.

Method-2: Put A Box Around Text Using a Single Cell table
Another easiest way to put a box around the text in Google Docs using a single Cell table. Follow the below information to add a box around the text in Google Docs.
- Navigate to https://docs.google.com/ and click on the + (Blank) button to create a blank document or you can open any existing Google document and locate the text where you want to insert a text box around that.
- Click on the Insert menu –> select the Table option –> Click on the 1 X 1 option i.e the first option.

3. Now type the desired text inside the text box.

4. You can customize the text box a little bit, make the text center align, select the text, and then click on align dropdown and then click on the center align button as highlighted below.

5. Click to select the borders option and then select the all borders option.

6. Click on the Border width and Border color option as highlighted below to customize the text box a little bit based on your requirement.
