Follow the below steps
- First, open the Google Docs document that you want to edit.
- Select the particular text in which you would wish to add your comments.
- Once you have highlighted your text, you will have three different approaches to save comments in Google Docs.
- Right-click on the selected or highlighted piece of text –> Choose the “Comment” option. You will see the comment box on the right-hand side of your Google Docs document. Type your valuable comments in the comment text box and then click on the “Comment” button to add the comments.

5. Click on the “Insert” menu –> choose the “Comment.” option. Enter your valuable comment –> click on the “Comment” button.

6. Find the “icon that contains a + (plus) sign inside it” on the right-hand side of your Google Docs document. Enter your comments into the text box and click the blue “Comment” button when you finish typing.

- For Mac, press “Command” + “option” + “M” on your Mac keyboard

- Open the Docs app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad.
- Open your Google Docs document –> tap on the Pencil icon to edit the document you want to add comments to and select/highlight the particular text.
- Tap on the + button –> Choose Comment option.
