To turn on quick access on Google Drive,

  1. Open Google Drive on Chrome or any other browser on your desktop.
  2. Find the gear-shaped ‘Settings’ icon at the top right of the Google Drive home page.
  3. Click on it and select the “Settings” tab from the drop-down menu.
  4. This will open up the ‘Settings’ pop-up box.
  5. Find the ‘Suggestions’ option and navigate to it.
  6. You can see a checkbox saying, “ Make relevant files handy when you need them”.
  7. Click on the checkbox to enable and hit the “Done” button.

  • Refresh the Google Drive page using the shortcut ‘CTRL+R’ to turn on Quick Access.
  • You can now see the “Quick Access” area with recently used files and folders on the Google Drive page.
