Follow the below steps
1. Go to Google and search for Google Docs dark mode, and then click on the Chrome web store link, as shown in the screenshot below.

2. Click the Add to Chrome button to add the Google Docs dark mode extension, as shown below.

3. Click on the Add Extension button on the next pop-up.

4. Now, refresh your Google Docs page and open any Google Docs document. You will see the Google Docs dark mode has been applied successfully. Check out the screenshot below for more information.
