- The first step you need to do is, enable the show equation toolbar option. To enable the option, click on the View menu –> click on the Show equation toolbar option.

Once you will enable it, you can able to see a tick mark on the left side of the Show Equation toolbar.

Now, you can able to see the New Equation option in the top left corner.

3. Click on the New Equation option. You can able to see the equation box is added to your Google Docs document. Type back slash and vec.

Then press the spacebar immediately. Now you can able to see the spacebar on the top as shown below.

Now type the letter as per your requirement and you are done.
